Joe Pistell Joins the Vendor Side

We want to congratulate Uncle Joe on his new career change! Joe Pistell has held the title of top contributor on the DealerRefresh forums and has provided some of the most invaluable feedback ever given to this community.

He has challenged both of us (Jeff and Alex) throughout all the years we’ve known him and we expect he is going to push us even more now that his visibility has expanded beyond his old home at the Used Car King.

Joe claims he has one last hurrah in him and wants to make a long-lasting impact on the car business. That was his motivation for making a move to the vendor side. However, we think Joe has a lot more than “one hurrah” left in him. He just thinks he’s old!

So you’re probably wondering what Joe is going to be doing, and we’re going to hold you in suspense a little more. The decision for Joe was not easy, and it was a team effort with his phenomenal wife, Cindy. Joe is leaving one of the most incredible dealer groups with some truly incredible people. If you ever get the chance to visit the Used Car King in Syracuse, NY take that opportunity! It is an absolute machine totally geared for selling cars. It has one of the most engaged Dealer Principles in the business and his influence is immediately noticeable as soon as you walk on the lot. His office is in the middle of one of his showrooms! No walls, no partitions; right there for customers to walk up to. Think about that for a minute.

But back to Joe, we all know and love Uncle Joe. He’s the best! Need we really say anymore?

Joe has taken a new position at Dealer.com as the Senior Director of Product Innovation. He will be working alongside Alex Snyder and another DealerRefresh favorite: John Quinn. Joe will be a leading strategist on the Dealer.com products team with the responsibility of creating and enhancing new tools for dealers. He is there to innovate! And his first task is in the inventory realm.

We’re very excited for Joe and know he is going to make his hurrahs (plural) very cool!

So give Joe a big cyber-hug or handshake in congratulations on taking on a whole new world.

P.S. We already bought the URL: www.VendorRefresh.com – you can’t have it 🙂

We love ya Joe! Congratulations on the new gig. I'm not sure how DDC is going to contain you and your passion. They may need to hire you an assistant some sort.

There are times when I feel like DealerRefresh has become the breeding grounds for future DDC employees. I'm thinking we start invoicing for headhunting services. Geesh.
